YouTube Caption Manager Chrome Extension

Subtitle.im is a Chrome extension built for YouTube viewers who want more control over captions. It can automatically turn on available subtitles, manage duplicate captions when videos already contain burned-in text, and apply caption behavior rules at both the channel and individual video level. The extension works locally in the browser and uses OCR and frame sampling to detect burned-in subtitles, helping users avoid cluttered or duplicated text while keeping captions available when needed. It is useful for accessibility, language support, and everyday viewing, and includes both free and paid plans with a lifetime option.
